Jessica Prince is co-director of Kaleidoscope Dance Company with her esteemed colleague Jackie Bowden. Jessica has been choreographing and performing for many years. She started her dance education at Center Stage Dance Studio in Melrose Massachusetts, becoming an ensemble dancer within her first few years of education. She went on to compete in many dance competitions such as Bravo! and Showstoppers, winning various awards. In 2011 she graduated from Dance Teachers Club of Boston and received her certificate.
She then went on to pursue dance at Salem State University where she studied under Caitlin Corbett, Meghan McLyman, and James Morrow. While enrolled at SSU Jessica participated in both Repertory Dance Theatre and Salem Dance Ensemble where she choreographed pieces and performed in others throughout all four years. She graduated as part of the National Honor Society of Dance with a BA in Dance and a minor in Entrepreneurship. While working and performing at Salem State she also taught dance at Matoaka Camp in Maine and the Salem YMCA.
After graduation Jessica has continued with her love of dance. She has performed in Salem Dance Ensemble and Repertory Dance Theatre as an alum. She re-created one of her works “Drop the Game” which was showcased in the Salem Dance Ensemble Alumni Concert as well as her work “Medicine” which was performed at the Salem State University Alumni Concert. Jessica currently teaches contemporary at Studio 21 in Swampscott and looks forward to another year with her students.
Jessica is enthusiastic about the development of Kaleidoscope Dance Company. She is excited to share this experience with Jackie Bowden and their company dancers.
Jackie Bowden began her dance career at LeAnn Leslie’s School of Theatrical Dance. From there, she attended Salem State University where she graduated Cum Laude with a B.S in Communications with minors in Dance and Graphic Design in 2015.
While at SSU, Jackie was an active member of the Salem State Dance Ensemble and Repertory Dance Theater, where she was the Public Relations Chair for one year. Jackie was awarded the Artistic Development Grant to study dance at Broadway Dance Center in New York for two months, received the Creativity Award in Dance her senior year and was accepted into the National Dance Education Organization honor society.
Jackie’s work has been seen at the Salem Arts Festival, the Aurora Borealis Dance Company shows, and Salem State University Alumni show in 2016. She has also performed with OnStage Dance Company and Honey Blonder’s Disco Brats.
Jackie has started Mini Movers Studio, a mobile dance studio, in 2018. She alos teaches at Enchanted Dance Academy, Sttudio 21 and Mitchell's Dance Studio teaching a variety of classes.In addition to dance, Jackie has coached cheerleading at many levels and is signed with Andrew Wilson Agency.
Jackie is ecstatic that she and Jessica are (finally!) beginning this new dance chapter of their lives as co-founders of Kaleidoscope Dance Company!
Marissa Doyle received most of her dance training at From the Top Dance Center in Reading, MA. In Spring of 2017, she graduated magna cum laude from Salem State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Sociology. During her time there, she danced with Repertory Dance Theatre, as well as Salem Dance Ensemble, and choreographing four pieces for RDT.
Marissa is currently an Associate Behavioral Therapist for children with autism. She plans to continue onto graduate school in the near future to become a pediatric Occupational Therapist and hopefully put her love of dance and movement to greater use.
Lindsey McGovern is currently the owner/director of Enchanted Dance Academy in Winchester and is about to begin her second year in business. She graduated from Salem State University (training under Meghan McLyman, Caitlin Corbett, & James Morrow) with a Bachelor of Science in Dance in 2015. There, she choreographed & performed for Salem Dance Ensemble and Repertory Dance Theatre and served as the student coordinator for Salem Dance Ensemble.
She is currently a theatre educator at Five Star Theatre Company (Reading MA) and choreographs for Coolidge Middle School and Venturing Theatricals (Reading MA). Recent musical theatre choreography credits include Alice in Wonderland Jr, Beauty and the Beast Jr, The Drowsy Chaperone, and The Addams Family Musical. She was most recently seen on stage as a performer and choreographer in the Salem Arts Festival as well as in the Salem State University Dance Alumni concert. She is thrilled to be part of Kaleidoscope Dance Company.
Stephanie is a Creative Project Manager at Wayfair in Boston. Stephanie graduated from Salem State University with a degree in art, dance and photography. At SSU she choreographed and danced for Salem Dance Ensemble and Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT). Her senior year she became the president of RDT the student run dance program.
Stephanie also teaches ballet, musical theater, jazz, lyrical and occasionally adult salsa classes at Barbara Miller Dance Center in Burlington. When she's not behind the lens, Stephanie enjoys painting, crafting and running half marathons in her spare time.
Mallory MacLeod is a choreographer and dance teacher at Dance Etc. Inc. in Middleton, MA. There, she started the contemporary dance program, leads the Senior Company, and choreographs additional solos and duos. Mallory graduated from Salem State University in 2013 with a BA in Early Childhood Education, a teaching license, and a minor in dance. She received a Creative Arts Scholarship for dance in 2012. She currently works as a behavior therapist and has plans to return to SSU for a second degree in nursing. Mallory is very excited to be a part of Kaleidoscope Dance Company!
